Kairos
As part of Transition Year each 4th year group is brought to the Kairos studios to experience a days recording and production.
In class we had to come up with ideas for what we were going to do for our segment. My group began with Judge Judy but we decided to do the Jeremy Kyle show instead. We arrived to the studio early in the morning to shoot our show. First of all we were shown where we would be filming. After this we moved into a meeting room where we divided up into people who would and would not be on camera. The director and all the behind the scenes people went off to get familiar with their equipment. I waited in the meeting room where we discussed the particulars of the Jeremy Kyle show. I was to be the bodyguard in the show.
So then we went into the recording studio and agreed on where everyone would go and in what order the segment would go witch was as follows: Intro, News, Weather, Interview, Outtro for the News Channel and The Jeremy Kyle. After enough practicing and some slight revisions and tweaks we had a solid 15 mint show. Then we went for lunch and folded that up with the 2 real takes.
I really enjoyed Kairos but if we were to do it again I would like to have the show be more scripted.
